Premier plans offer members access to the Delta Dental Premier Network, the nation’s largest dental network, with almost 90% of dentists participating in Alaska. Members with this plan have the freedom to choose their own dentist. When they see Delta Dental Premier Network providers, there is no balance billing.
These plans help members save costs by connecting them with providers in the Delta Dental PPO Network in Anchorage, Fairbanks North Star and Mat-Su Valley, one of the largest preferred provider organization (PPO) dental networks in Alaska. PPO plans offer more choice and control over out-of-pocket costs, and members can still see out-of-network providers at a reduced benefit level.
The Delta Dental Premier Healthy Smiles plan offers benefits for children under age 19. It also meets the federal pediatric essential health benefits (EHB) requirement. You can purchase this plan even if no one enrolls right away.
This plan connects members with the Delta Dental Premier Network. It is a preventive-focused plan with limited benefits for basic and major services. Providers accept the Delta Dental contracted fee, so there will be no additional balance billing charge.
